The Vandyke book page 151...
“FOUR things a man must learn to do
If he would make his record true:
To think without confusion clearly;
To love his fellow man sincerely;
To act from honest motives purely;
To trust in God and Heaven securely.”
I found this old book in an antique shop… it is Henry van Dyke Collection…
Ya…I like to buy old books ...
I love old books…the language, the stories, the covers…and the smell…
Yeah ...there is really something about old books...
Jack Bowman said “They tell you stories about their use.
You can see where the fingerprints touched the pages
as they held the book open. You can see how long they
lingered on each page by the finger stains.”
My beautiful sister Negat said…"Old books are nice, but as you and I know Old people are even nicer, because they tell you old stories that doesn't exists in your time, they tell you old wisdom that doesn't compare to you new wisdom. They have an old eye that looks beyond your reach. Last but not least they have old cloths, furniture, and jewelries that is so vintage and cool"
yes...she is very wise.
Wishing you a lovely start to the new week!
Thanks so much for dropping by...
